Global Competitions by GlobalShala

In the span of almost 2 years, GlobalShala takes pride in successfully hosting more than 10 global competitions. From small-scale photography contests with basic themes like photography of the mundane life in the pandemic to writing 50-words stories and poems about living in lockdowns, a lot of the contests revolved around what we saw daily during the harshest months of COVID-19. Amid this, there were ambitious and hopeful competitions that were sure to make you forget about the ongoing crises. Sustainable Start-ups called for business ideas that are sustainable, aligning with our Sustainable Development Goals and promising opportunities to budding risk-takers.

Contests like Words of Equality highlighted important issues of inclusive education in the 21st-century where everyone, despite their abilities must get a chance at education. Then there is an intriguing writing contest we call Cook-a-Tale that calls for entries on the given themes in the form of a recipe. Themes include meeting a superhero in the pandemic, conversation with a role model, among others.

Large scale contests that GlobalShala takes pride in organizing are Code with GlobalShala, Code with GlobalShala 2.0 and Superhero U. In Code with GlobalShala, the participants had to send their submissions on any of the mentioned themes of creating helpful platforms for GlobalShala or create a blockchain. Superhero U in association with Northeastern University called for submissions in any written, drawn, audio-visual format that dealt with any global issue and solved it.

In all of the contests, prizes include scholarships, internships and amazon vouchers. We plan to bring more of these exciting competitions every month. Make sure you participate!
