Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 5 predominantly talk about Education and Gender Equality, respectively, are our major inspiration to keep doing what we are doing right now. GlobalShala takes pride in collaborating with Northeastern University, USA to design a global competition to inspire students’ inventiveness and intensify their planet-protecting passions. The Superhero U contest was the brainchild of this collaboration.
United Nations Academic Impact shared our initiative, highlighting the key points of the contest and its importance. They point that how Superhero U encourages students of all nations to examine the problems facing society, today and in the future, in order to create their own unique ‘superhero’ identity. Participants design their own superhero who is an embodiment of their unique ideas.
This contest surely entailed our belief in Experiential Learning, that is, learning by doing. The participants gain in-depth knowledge on their chosen problem, dive deeper into their problem-solving abilities and get their creative brains to churn to vicariously fight the global problem through the superhero they create.
There were more than 2000 entries in this contest from 100+ countries and is the largest competition GlobalShala planned.
